“So he answered and said, “Must I not take heed to speak what the LORD has put in my mouth?”… So Balaam answered and said to Balak, “Did I not tell you, saying, ‘All that the LORD speaks, that I must do’?”” – NUMBERS 23:12, 26
Devotion
Listen attentively and discern the soft whispers of heaven. Some may point out that Balak’s requests were God’s way of testing Balaam’s character and his loyalty to Him (Num 24:13). Indeed, whether or not you blindly heed the wrong prophetic counsel could be a method God uses to assess whether you are reliant on Him, or men, for answers (Deut 13:1-3).
