“And they said, “Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house…” – ACTS 10:22
Devotion
Remember that we previously said that Cornelius was not a Jew, yet because of his God-fearing nature his good reputation spread amongst the Jews. Besides that, his name was also known in heaven, so much so that God Himself noticed Cornelius and sent to him an angel to provide him with divine instructions. Fear God and you will find favour with both God and men. Special and sovereign grace and favour are reserved for such God-fearing saints.
