A leader must be free from the love of money
(1 Tim 3:3) and not be harsh or oppressive with their flock as their shepherds (1 Pet 5:1-3). However, just as Jezebel did in the past, many leaders are currently abusing the authority entrusted upon them, applying tyrannical methods to control their flock to further their self-interests. Those who practice such wickedness are in real danger or losing their shepherd’s reward which is the crown of glory (1 Pet 5:4).
