Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

Devotion
Submission means that you relinquish your way of doing things and to follow the way dictated by others. This will be difficult for many as it requires them to “die” to self-pride and the gratification of doing things “their way”. Once you have learnt to submit to others in humility, learning to submit to God’s way will be a lot easier. You begin to lean on God as your Rock and cast all your cares on Him. In so doing, you emphatically proclaim “Lord, I surrender all!”
