One who has complete mastery of his heart can master anything. The fear of God will allow you to see yourself from the eyes of God as well as the eyes of those around you. Sun Tzu’s art of war famously iterates “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.” In other words, knowing yourself is half the battle won.
