Devotion
God never fails to show his enduring love and mercy towards rebellious Israel that repeatedly broke His heart. In His covenantal kindness He spared them from their destruction and even delivered them from their enemies’ oppression. (Neh 9:26-27, 30-32). The greatness of His character was revealed in His ever-patient and merciful dealings with the stubborn ways of Israel (Neh 9:16-17); God would not forsake them due to His mercies (Neh 9:19).
