The consecration of a surrendered life is the way of the cross. Your rebellious nature must be crucified, because it is only then that His divine holiness can be revealed. God cannot fill a jar with the oil of His goodness if it is full of self-life, filled to the brim with selfish ambitions. The fear of God will instil in you a contrite heart so that just like Jesus, you will be able to bear the testimony of John 5:30 with your life.
