Devotion
God hates pride (Prov 8:13). If you harbour pride in your life, you are looking for disaster (Prov 16:18). The worst nightmare will be that you will be cut off from Him and be left to perish on your own in darkness. You will be greatly humbled in life (1 Pet 5:6-7). Humility is simply this: to cast all your cares on Him; to trust Him to sustain you (Ps 55:22). God is an enemy of the proud (James 4:6; 1 Pet 5:5) and so their legacy is one of shame (Prov 3:34-35).
