Devotion
Selflessness is the essence of agape. Love seeks not her own interest (1 Cor 13:5). Love thinks no evil and therefore will not hatch a plot to harm others. Love always seeks to do good to her neighbours (Luke 10:27-36). Love is the essence of the flame of the fear of the Lord (Isa 50:10-11), for a person with the fear of the Lord will never seek to do evil (Prov 16:6).
