“… with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.” – EPHESIANS 6:5-8
Devotion
Employees must be faithful in their job. However, if you are an employer, do not oppress your subordinates nor exploit them. You should accord to them with due respect for their labour. Do not be harsh or unreasonable, lest the Lord treats you in the same manner when you appear before Him. Therefore treat each other with honour, out of fear and respect for the Lord, because the Lord will reward both employer and employee according to how they have conducted themselves in their respective roles (Col 3:22-25).
