“Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,” – ROMANS 5:20
Devotion
The law is the schoolmaster (Gal 3:24). The law serves to remind us of the graveness of our sin. It promotes fear driven by religion and sin. However we have been delivered from the penalty of sin by the power of His blood. We are now justified by His grace apart from His law (Gal 5:4). By His death, an abundance of grace is now available (Rom 5:17). Grace in turn promotes true reverential fear (Heb 12: 24, 28).
