‘Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the night.’
Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892)
On an eventful Sunday afternoon on the 10th of November, 2013, I was having lunch with a Canadian prophet when an unexpected prophetic download took place. When the prophet shared about the Hebrew year 5774, I saw the heavens open. The glorious “daleth” door likened unto Revelations 4:1 appeared in the distant horizon. I knew intuitively that it was a heavenly vision with a connection to the prophetic insight for 2014.
“I know of no better thermometer to your spiritual temperature than this, the measure of the intensity of your prayer,”
Out of that portal, a fiery chariot came out racing towards my direction. When the chariot arrived, it dropped a giant golden key onto our lunch table. I was surprised by such a sight. Although my guest was unaware of this newly present gift, I continued to look intently at it and Jeremiah 33:3 was inscribed on it. It was the prophetic key for the “daleth” door of 2014. It was the key of earnest prayer!! This new season will usher forth mighty grace to energise and empower our life of communion with God. A key that unlock the promises of Psalm 25:14, Isaiah 64:4, John 16:13 and 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. This golden key of earnest prayer is a vehicle to bring you into the prophetic and revelatory experiences of Jeremiah 33:3!! The deep stirrings of the grace of Psalm 42:7 shall activate Song of Solomon 1:4 to draw His people into the holy chamber of the Bridegroom.
“I have a great need for Christ; I have a great Christ for my need.”
In that passage, Jeremiah was imprisoned by King Zedekiah. In his isolated prison cell, Jeremiah received prophetic insight into the judgment upon and future restoration of the house of Judah. The significance of Jeremiah 33:3 is to birth forth the personal prayer of intimacy and to be alone in the cell of prayer chamber. You need to be shut in with God, in that secret place, and receive the scroll of prophetic revelations.
“Neglect of private prayer is the locust which devours the strength of the Church.”
Take a hold of this prayer key and unlock the door of Matthew 6:6 to engage first hand with the rhema of Matthew 4:4, of God speaking His directional counsel for your tomorrows. Within this prayer chamber is the treasures of Isaiah 26:3; 30:21; John 10:27 and Philippians 2:13. It’s high time for a deeper closer prayer life! We must abide in communion prayer. “’Must’ is a hard nut to crack, but it has a sweet kennel.” - Charles Spurgeon. Indeed, prayer is the overflow of and outgushing from a soul in communion with Jesus. (Psalm 42:7-8; 62:8)
“Discernment is not a matter of simply telling the difference between right and wrong; rather it is telling the difference between right and almost right.”
As I beheld the golden key, flames of fire engulfed the key. There is going to be a baptism of fire, bringing forth a renewed sense of holiness in our inner life of prayer. The sacred purpose of this holy fire is to bring His people into the experience of Isaiah 40:3-5. There is coming a definite, divine working of spiritual alignment of the priorities and plans of His covenant people. Spiritual calibration (fine tuning) will be the hallmark of this season!! The prayer of Matthew 6:10: “thy kingdom come, they will be done” will be the divine order of the day. It will be the holy plea of His bride. The captain of our salvation, the Holy Spirit, shall navigate us away from the mundane, the unclean and the unnecessary to the kingdom purposes of His heart. This holy fire secretes liquid honey that provokes spiritual hunger to pursue the promise of Psalm 34:8 and Psalm 119:103 in a greater measure. The set time for a greater depth of spiritual renewal has dawned! (1 Kings 18:38; Isaiah 44:3 and Acts 3:19) Amen.
“Nothing binds me to my Lord like a strong belief in His changeless love.”
