Another great secret of prayer lies in understanding the sublimity of those word, “I go unto my Father.” The answer was unfolded two chapters later, “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.” We can sweat greatly but great sweat does not equal great accomplishment. The anointing is the seal of accomplishment.
The Holy Spirit is the lifeline of prayer. He breathes upon every prayer with the pulsating anointing of God. The power of prayer is not a feeling but a living person. He is the power of the Trinity. The spirit of God transforms every ordinary prayer to become extraordinary in the eyes of men. Prayer is vain and empty without the anointing. The majestic presence of the Lord experience in deep prayer is the anointing itself. The oil of heaven marks the end of every struggle in life. We must lay hold of the anointing for an unparalleled breakthrough in our spiritual life.
Fellowship with the Holy Spirit is the very heart of a prayer life. All low grade faith comes from a low grade level of fellowship. Indeed, faith shrivels up and dies in this low type of fellowship. To experience His anointing, we need to thirst and hunger after Him. He is the greatest jewel and treasure in your life. When you abide in the realm of God, all problems take flight. This is your hour of triumph as you leave the realm of the earth to dwell on the plane of His glorious presence.
