Reflect on that precious word, “ He that believeth on ME.” The triumphant proof of victorious prayer lies in the health of your faith. Kind David said prayer is simply beholding HIM. (Ps. 27:4) Jesus is the beauty of Christianity. “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith,” (Heb. 12:2) Hence, the source of our anointing and faith is Jesus Himself. When we abide in Him, the word in your lips is a living force. His name in your lips become omnipotence.
The highest state of prayer is a love affair: two lovers meeting and sharing with each other. This is the intrinsic lesson of the parable of the Vine and the branches. The fruit-bearing life is a union life. This utter oneness with Christ meant that His victory was our victory. His mastery over the forces of darkness was our mastery. We sat where He was seated. His authority becomes our very own. We are vitally joined with Omnipotence. God is on our side as we are united with Him. Through Him we can move mountains. We become the channels of the living vine through prayer in this world.
The ultimate maturity of prayer is the pursuit of Christ: “I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord; for whom I have suffered the loss of all things. And do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.” Love Him and everything around you will naturally prospers. When we desire Him as our bridegroom, we shall discover we are God’s favourite and the spiritual temperature of your prayer will glow ever passionately for Him.
